Lehi's median age is 26.9 years. The national median is 39.2, and only 5.6 percent of Lehi residents are 65 or older, roughly half the share in Springville. Lehi has commuter rail. The Lehi FrontRunner station at 3101 N. Ashton Blvd. has operated since December 2012 on UTA Route 750. Four bus routes touch the city: 806 toward Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs, 807 through north county to UVU, 850 on State Street, and 871, the Tech Corridor Rail Connector, which no other city on this list has. There are 31 UTA stops inside city limits. UTA Paratransit serves riders whose functional ability keeps them off fixed-route buses. The Utah County number is 1-877-882-7272, evaluation is done in person, and a determination takes up to 21 days.
The Lehi Senior Center is at 131 N 100 E, phone (385) 201-1065. Membership runs $10 a year and covers facility access, programs and trips. Lunch is served at noon Monday through Friday for a $4 suggested donation, reservations required, and the center coordinates Meals on Wheels through Mountainland. The weekly calendar includes tai chi Monday at 9:30 a.m., crochet club Tuesday at 10:15, bingo Tuesday and Friday at 11:30, and line dancing Friday at 10. Blood pressure checks are free the first Friday of each month, 11 a.m. to noon. Seniors use the indoor track at the Legacy Center free on weekdays, 9 to 2. MAG's directory still carries an older Lehi listing, so use the city's numbers.
Holy Cross Hospital - Mountain Point stands at 3000 N. Triumph Blvd., near I-15 and SR-92 east of Thanksgiving Point; the main line is 385-345-3000. It opened in 2015 with 40 licensed beds and is operated by CommonSpirit Health. Residents who still say Mountain Point Medical Center are talking about the same building under its former name. Orthopedics, cardiology and wound care are on site. Pointe Meadows Health and Rehabilitation, 2750 North Digital Drive, holds 99 certified beds for short rehab stays. The first two weeks home come down to medication timing, wound checks, getting up safely at 3 a.m., and rides to follow-ups.
Two things push Lehi hours up. The first is distance from family. When the nearest sibling lives in Boise or Dallas, there is nobody to cover the space between scheduled shifts, so the coverage has to be real rather than supplemental. The second is the house. A big two-story with bedrooms up and living space down produces more assisted trips per day than a compact floor plan does. Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) Aging Services is the Area Agency on Aging for Utah County, and its site is now magutah.gov rather than the old mountainland.org address. Start there for public programs. Then have the harder conversation with your siblings. Lehi families are frequently scattered, one here and two out of state, and the sibling who lives closest ends up carrying the logistics plus an unspoken assumption that they should pay less because they do more.
